Vegan Big Mac Attack at Doomie's

Before the Queen of vegan blogging retired from her reign, Quarrygirl posted a couple times about the vegan big mac at Doomie's. I was in LA for a full day a few Fridays ago, and my first stop on my food frenzied day was Doomie's for a vegan big mac attack.

The big mac isn't on the menu, you just have to ask for it. When I did, the server looked around for a minute, and then under his breath said "I think we can do that for you". Super secretive! Thanks to QG for the off-menu recommendation.

Saying this thing is dangerously close to a McD's burger is an understatement. From the perfectly toasted bun, to the beefy burger, to the melted vegan cheddar, to the chopped onions and pickle slices, to the special sauce... this thing has it ALL. Beyond not being made of death and not causing an early death, this version of the obese American favorite is downright delicious! It also comes with a side of fries that were freshly fried and crispy to finish off the junk food jubilee.

Needless to say, I cleaned my plate.

Not one to leave without dessert, I ordered a ginormous double fudge brownie to go after devouring my big mac. This was a wise decision, since I ate it to cheer me up after coming out to my car to find a smashed window but nothing stolen. The brownie was equally as good as the burger, and the ooey gooey fudge in the middle was so rich it took me two different sessions to finish this bad boy.

Minus the $267 window bill from the sketchy streets of Hollyweird, this was singlehandedly the best vegan junk food meal of my entire life. If you're in the LA area, I highly recommend Doomie's for classic comfort food, animal-free.
