BOSTON, MA: Peace o' Pie

I was in Boston last week for my brother's graduation from Harvard Law, and the one place that every local vegan recommended to me and I knew I had to try was Peace o' Pie, not to be confused with Seattle's vegan pizza place; Pizza Pi. Although my hotel was about four and a half miles away, I needed to sweat out my hangover from the previous day's graduation festivities so I decided to make the long journey in the humid heat by foot, and it was well worth it.

I had researched the slices of the day on Peace o' Pie's Twitter account on my walk there, so I already knew I would just be sampling those when I finally reached my destination. What was really refreshing to see when I arrived was that Peace o' Pie has some really high value lunch specials, so I was able to purchase two slices of the day and a Santa Cruz Organics sparling lemonade for just six bucks, which I considered a real deal.
The slices of the day were broccoli/sun-dried tomato and apple sage sausage/mushroom/onion, both of which were incredible. The crust was the perfect thickness and properly crispy, exactly how I like my pizza crust. The sauce was light and mildly sweet, with a hint of herbs and garlic that was just the right touch. Peace o' Pie uses Daiya on their pizzas, in the right proportions and melted the way it should be.
Beyond just pizza, Peace o' Pie's menu consists of vegan sandwiches, calzones, salads, breadsticks, desserts and even brunch on Sundays! I will surely make this place more of a priority next time I visit Boston, probably on a daily basis. I feel like I can call myself a vegan pizza connoisseur and will happily say that Peace o' Pie is up around the top of the list, if not at the very top.

Peace o' Pie also happens to be located two doors down from Grasshopper, a vegan Asian food restaurant, making this little strip of Allston a must-see-and-eat to any vegan visiting the Boston area. Peace o' Pie also boasts various green features, which is always an ethical plus.
If you're visiting Boston, or even if you're a local, Peace o' Pie comes with my higest recommendations. Go eat vegan pizza there NOW! I sure wish I could.

I love love love Peace o Pie! The Buffalo Chick'n is my favorite!
I am incredibly lucky to live within a mile of this amazing restaurant and it is my absolute favorite. I eat it probably once a week (which is alot since I don't eat out often). The brunch is spectacular so if you are in Boston on a Sunday, I can't recommend it strongly enough. I know many meat-eaters who regularly eat there as well! LOVE Peace o' Pie.
YES! I love Peace O' Pie! My friends and I go there at least twice a month (more if we could). Grasshopper is great too if you're in to the whole greasy chinese food hangover for the next day... and I mean this in a good way!!!!
