Product Review: Rastaclat Wristwear

When I was in my late teens I worked at a local skateboard shop, where my entrepreneurial career was born, and where I met others who would go on to become small business owners of some sort as well. One of those people was my good buddy Kasidi Nyaggah, who besides being one of the most driven people I know, is also one of my favorite friends. The dude is super friendly, always smiling, and is constantly dripping with swagger.

When we worked at the skate shop together, Kasidi birthed this idea of wristwear made from braided shoe laces, and started producing the original Bomboclot bracelets by hand. After selling a few thousand of the hand-made versions, Kasidi and his partners realized it wasn't feasible to hand-make as many as were needed to keep up with demand and eventually went their own ways.

About a year or so ago Kasidi decided it was time to bring back these stylish wrist accessories, and he took his own savings and had a couple thousand professionally manufactured under the new name of Rastaclat. Rastaclat just released their second season colorways, and there are a bunch of winners.

I had a few people ask me about my navy blue Rastaclat in Portland during VVC, and since it's my buddy's company and all the styles are vegan, I only felt it was right to do this review. While Kasidi isn't vegan himself, he was kind enough to throw some delicious corn and sweet potatoes on the BBQ for me at a recent pool party.

Rastaclat bracelets have been embraced by athletes, rappers, and other notorious types in record time. They make a great addition to any outfit, and at only $10 each it's even appropriate to wear two at a time. You can buy them online by clicking here, and in doing so you'll be supporting a great guy who is sure to be a small business superstar in the near future.
