Product Review: That's It! Fruit Snack Bars

When you go to any health food store these days, it's inevitable there will be an entire aisle dedicated to the oversaturated snack bar market. Whether it's nutrition bars, protein bars, meal replacement bars, or somewhere in between, you can get just about anything you would ever want in bar form. Being so, it's rare to find a bar that is as simplistically pure as the two-ingredient That's It fruit snack bars.

When I was asked to review this product, I checked out the website and my interest immediately peaked. All three flavors of That's It have only two simple ingredients: apples and either apricots, pears or cherries. There are no preservatives, sweeteners or fillers, and trust me, these bars don't need any.

When I opened the first bar, the apricot flavor, I was pleasantly surprised to find how minimally processed the contents were. These bars are like a thicker, jucier fruit leather, with full chunks of dried apple held together by a moist apricot puree. I love apricots, and this turned out to be my favorite of the three.

The next bar I tried was the cherry flavor, and this was no disappointment. Super tart, super sweet cherry flavor with the same apple consistency as the apricot bar. Delicious.

The pear flavor was no exception to That's It's simply tasty trifecta, and was a more mellow taste than the apricot or cherry, but no less satisfying. Did I mention that these bars are only 100 calories each?

If you're looking for a quick, natural sugar pick-me-up, pass over all the overly processed junk food bars and head straight for That's It fruit bars. Two ingredients, 100 calories, no preservatives, lots of fiber, gluten free and minimally processed. What more can you ask for?
